Wow have I really not updated this since early in the year? I am one bad communicator on my home page! It's been a long year with me having some medical issues and having tests for months. It just seemed to drag on and on - mostly because it takes time to get them scheduled and then do them, get the results and then schedule some more. Anyway I'm doing well and nothing is too serious and may wind up being fairly minor in the long run. I won't know until later this year.
Our puppies are now over a year old and I can't remember if I put any photos out there of them on the Smugmug site. I don't take too many because when I pick up my iPhone to take a shot, Roxie dislikes me holding it up in front of my face so it usually ruins the photo I was going for. Slowly I'll get her used to it and get more photos. They are great girls and Maggie is enjoying her sisters now.
Our BIGGEST NEWS thisyear was the wedding of our daughter, Rhiannon, to the love of her life, Eric Crownover!! They had the big event on October 17th at a beautiful bed & breakfast in Hamilton, VA. It was outside (and a bit chilly that day) and was a fabulous and fun day for everyone involved....even old dad. It was cool and cloudy all day right up to the time that she and I started to walk down the long grassy field to where the ceremony was....then the sun broke out and it was fabulous. The sun stayed out for the entire ceremony and for most of the photos afterward before the clouds set back in. Perfect timing for a wonderful couple and all their friends and family. Congratulations Rhiannon and Eric!!! So I finally got a son when I'm 63 years old...not bad for an old guy...hehehe.
We will have tons of photos coming to us over the next few weeks. What I'm going to do is start putting some of them out on our photos website (you know the one you can click on just under all of this wordy stuff). So click on the link below or you can also go there if you remember this website - ricsmith.smugmug.com. What I'm going to do is put a number of photos out every couple of days for a week or two. That way you can keep coming back to the photos website to see more of this awesome wedding event.
I was thinking I'd change my photo on the heading of this page to fall but it will be yucky snow before we know it, so I think I'll just leave it there until next Spring.
Thanks for coming by to see what's happening in our lives and please stay in touch.
